Secondary labels are used when transferring chemicals from their original containers to secondary ones, such as spray bottles or wipe buckets. OSHA requires these containers to be clearly marked so that workers know exactly what they’re using—and what precautions to take.
Each label includes
Name of the product (matches SDS information)
General Hazard Information
Chemical Company Name and Contact Information
By using our secondary labels, you’re helping ensure your workplace remains safe, informed, and compliant with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard. These labels work seamlessly with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), which should be readily available on-site.

When to Use
Use OSHA Compliant Secondary Labels whenever a product is transferred to a secondary container that will be stored or used by multiple people or across shifts. Labels are not required if the container is under the control of a single person and used within the same work shift.
